The e-signature industry revolves around PDF files for legal and security reasons. Once signed and stamped with our document signing certificate, PDFs are tamper-proof and reliable as an archival copy of the signed docment for long-term storage.
However, many of our users work with DOCX files as their source documents, and it is not always convenient to convert these to PDFs before sending them for signature. Additionally, developers often prefer to work with DOCX format files when creating templates programmatically, because they are easier to generate dynamically.
Now you can have the best of both worlds! Verdocs now supports DOCX files as source documents, and will handle the conversion to PDF for signature automatically. This means you can upload DOCX files directly to Verdocs, and they will be converted to PDFs when you create a template from them.
Dynamic Tagging
Tired of hand-calculating the positions of fields in documents to be signed? Dynamic tagging is here to help! With dynamic tagging, you can automatically place fields in the right location on your documents by simply including handlebars-style tags in the source document template.
